Dynamic drive through forest paths with charming views from Bukovina and visit of the wonderful village Vlkolínec.
The route follow cycling road Cyklokorytnička along the river Revúca. In the end of part called Biely Potok turn right and climb up to the Jazierce resort. Next, continue with a steady technical climb along the forest path. It tests your physical and technical ability in a few sections. After relaxing on Bukovinka, continue on a gentle climb by the forest road, where you find platforms with breathtaking views of the West and the High Tatras. There is a nice downhill course with playful twists and turns on the road and meadows to Trlenská dolina Then start short climb up to the village of Vlkolínec. Next to the church in Vlkolínec connect to old gravel road coming back to Ružomberok with a great view.
Slow down by riding along Jazierce resort area and take a short walk. Here you can find interesting travertine ponds and formations. Enjoy beautiful views of Nízke Tatry and Veľká Fatra Mountains from Bukovina meadow or at resting area above valley. Find and enjoy beautiful scenery of wooden village from 13th century which belongs to Unesco Heritage. Old wooden houses are reconstructed original way and some of them still permanetly inhabited.There are also several museum expositions and a outdoor playground for kids. Do a picnic and relax with your family on the meadow. Vlkolínec is often scene of various events during summer season.
