The nature's beauty in Martinská Roveň fascinated also famous slovak movie director Juraj Jakubisko. He placed there shooting of one of most popular fairy tale "Perinbaba".

There were remains of wooden shepherd cottage (called Pajta). Pajta is a name for wooden cottage, which served as a shelter for a shepherd with sheep in bad weather. Slovak fairy tale Perinbaba was filmed here which made it famous. To find it, from the Vrchárska cyklomagistrála in the part of the Mlynová you must follow yellow tourist signs. Fans and surrounding villages removed old and built new wodden replica in 2019
